Seattle Bling

Here's my Seattle sparkly.

My Seattle Helenite

Helenite is a synthetic gemstone created from the ashes of Mount St. Helens when it erupted back in May 1980. When the volcano erupted, there was heavy, expensive machinery at the bottom of the mountain that was covered in lava. As the lava cooled, crews went in with blow torches to dig out the machinery and when the intense heat from the torches came into contact with the ashes from the volcano, these beautiful colors emerged, mostly greens and pinks.

I absolutely love this ring and can't wait to wear it out and about. I'm all about showing off my goods!
